Academic Preparation Courses

Our Academic preparation courses are a new programme which we have designed to prepare students for our academic year.

The aim of the course is to improve the students’ level of English prior to commencing the academic year beginning each September.

Students have a choice of two starting dates for this course:

• April - June
(Summer Term of Academic Year) - 10 weeks

• July - August
(During our General Summer School) - 8 weeks

Students can also combine the two courses above to make a 18 week Preparation Course if necessary.

One Term Course

Course Dates for 2010: 17 April - 30 June

Course Content

• 20 x 50 mins English for Academic Purposes
• 8 x 50 mins British Culture / Study Skills

Costs

Fees include tuition, full board accommodation, sports and social programme, transfer to and from the airport on 22 April and 30 June

• £5,305 (incl. residential accommodation)
• £5,745 (incl. Host family accommodation)

Summer School Course

Course Dates for 2010: 04 July - 29 August

Course Content

• 19 x 50 mins English for Academic Purposes
• 2½ day excursions per week + full sports and social programme (as in general summer school)

Costs

Fees include tuition, full board accommodation, excursions and sports and social programme

• £3,840 (incl. residential accommodation)
• £4,080 (incl. Host family accommodation)
